Benamor The closest golf course to the Quinta is Benamor
being less than one mile away. This was the first course to open east of
Faro. The course offers views both southward out to the Atlantic ocean and
northward towards the hinterland with it`s striking hills and valleys. Benamor is an eighteen hole, par 71 having a total length of 5500
metres. The facilities include, driving range, putting green and large putting
course, club hire, trolleys and buggies and bag drop service. There is a purpose
built club house with bar and restaurant featuring a large terrace from which to enjoy sunshine and
views. We offer our guests discounted green fees for this course. Qunita da Ria This course is less than three miles from the Quinta. Thousands of trees
have been introduced to the site, not simply to enhance this already beautiful
location but by their positioning, together with the generous use of visually
stunning bunkers, provide natural hazards between tee and green. Quinta da Ria is an eighteen hole, par 72 championship course of 6110
metres with all the usual facilities. The club house is in the original
farmhouse, with it`s thick walls and vaulted roof giving a great ambience for
relaxing, enjoying a drink and maybe something light to eat. Quinta da Cima This course is also less than three miles from the Quinta and is a
championship course of great character. Running thematically through the
stunning layout is a series of lakes connected by a stream which the architect
has skillfully incorporated as an added challenge to players. There are
expansive views along the coast and inland to the hills of the Serra do
Caldeirao. Quinta de Cima is an eighteen hole, par 72 championship course of 6256
metres with all the usual facilities. The club house is an attractive and
spacious building with good restaurant and bar service. Castro Marim Golf and Country Club This course is just over ten miles from the Quinta. As well as commanding
views of the ocean, the most easterly course in the Algarve overlooks the broad
estuary of the Guadiana river, which forms the border between Portugal and
Spain. The course is within the Castro Marim Golf and Country Club, which takes
its name from the nearby village famous for its medieval castle. Castro Marim is an eighteen hole, par71 course of 5265 metres with all
the normal facilities. NB All the golf courses
require a knowledge of golf etiquette and proof of current handicap certificate. Return back to details of our Winter Breaks |
